Badminton Summer Program Tier Descriptions

Please utilize the following tier descriptions when choosing a program for your athlete:

Tier 5: Competing
- Provincially competitive players
- Focusing on developing the style of the athlete and mastering the shots and footwork
- By Invitation only

Tier 4: Refining
- School competitive players
- Focusing on refining technique and building consistency

Tier 3: Performing
- For not yet competitive players focusing on performing proper clears, drops, net shots, lifts, smashes, drives, and the 6-corner footwork

Tier 2: Learning
- For learning players to learn all of the shots with proper grip and how to cover the court

Tier 1: Fundamentals
- Kindergarten to Grade 2
- Grips, shuffling, running, jumping, throwing, footwork introduction, sportsmanship, building coordination, learning the rules, basic shots

Half-Day/Evening BADMINTON Summer Camps

Players are encouraged to bring their own racquets, snacks and water bottles.

July 6-10, July 13-17, July 20-24, July 27-31, August 10-14, or August 17-21
TIER 1/2/3 Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:00PM - 4:00PM

TIER 4/5 Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:30PM - 6:30PM
Cost: Tier 1/2/3: $250 / week

Tier 4/5: $180 / week
